Water, in its various states, serves as an analogy for understanding the astral body and its relationship to the physical body. Just as water exists as ice, water, and steam at different temperatures, the physical body has a counterpart known as the astral body, the second principle of us, humans.
And what is the purpose of this astral body? It is a shell and nothing more. Composed of a finer quality of matter than that of the physical body, but matter nonetheless. Both bodies are eventually discarded at the appropriate time, disintegrating after someone dies.
Throughout the ages, the astral body has intrigued people and given rise to numerous superstitions and mysteries due to the limited understanding of its nature. It has been described as the ethereal body, the fluidic body, the double, or the Doppelganger.
The Yogis know that sometimes, under specific conditions, the astral body can become visible to living individuals, which we call a ghost. Souls that were so attached to material life at the moment of their death, that they struggle to leave the physical world.
Look, I know this things are hard to believe because, again, it’s difficult to prove it with our senses. It is good to be skeptical. To question things. And its also good to be open to new ideas and knowledge that could explain the things already happening around in a way that makes more sense.
I have not seen any ghosts or had an out-of-body experience, but it is difficult to just dismiss the millions of people who have seen one or had one of this experiences. The fact that I haven’t seen or experienced something, doesn’t mean it’s not real.
There is a lot of evidence that has been gathered over the years, mostly personal accounts, that continues to prove the existence of the astral body. Photographs, videos, personal experiences, astral projections, lucid dreams and new scientific evidence.
Viewing these phenomena through the lens of the yogi science and the existence of the astral body has provided me with a more logical explanation for unexplainable experiences, stories, and “paranormal” events.
It helps you see it for what it is. A shell composed of a finer kind of matter. Atoms. Just like the physical body.
And knowing that we have an astral body expands our understanding of reality. Just as water transforms into ice and vapor, the physical body and its counterpart, the astral body, are the same thing but of different density.
