Bear Your Burdens With Grace
Face life's challenges with a spirit of wonder and a heart full of gratitude, knowing that every trial is a lesson and every hardship a stepping stone toward your ultimate good.
He started working in plantations when he was about 7 years old. He had to ride his bike through the jungle for hours to get to school, which he didn’t graduate from because he had to work. His dad was killed during the long Guatemalan civil war, and his mom was also killed.
Undeterred by adversity, he embarked on a perilous journey, crossing the desert not once, but twice, in pursuit of a better life in the US. Caught by border patrol on his first attempt, he persisted, driven by a determination to escape the poverty in his native country.

His outlook on life is nothing short of inspiring. Always kind. Always with a great attitude towards life. He lives with a sense of wonder. He loves all of nature and all the animals. I have never seen him angry, the most equanimous person I know. He would be prepping veggies in the restaurant and would shout: “La vida es maravillosa!” —“Life is wonderful!”
