The doorbell rang, and our dog, Zoe, got so excited that she sprinted towards the door, disregarding objects in her path. She knocked a candle off the table that had been lit for hours. The candle fell to the floor, shattered into pieces, and the melted wax spread all over the floor and carpet.

We got angry at Zoe for being careless about the objects. It's okay to get excited when someone is at the door; after all, she is a dog. That's what dogs do. But it's not okay to just run into objects.

A few days before that, my mom gave my wife a pair of earrings as a gift. Then, doing what little kids do, a nephew played with the box and lost one earring. We found one of them right away, but the other one was still missing. We thought we had lost it for good.

Amidst the madness of Zoe knocking off the candle, the missing earring appeared on the carpet, as if she had performed some sort of magic. We couldn't believe it; we had searched multiple times in that same spot.

After that, instead of blaming Zoe for breaking the hot candle and making a mess, we thanked her for finding the missing earring. If she hadn't done what she did, we wouldn't have found what we were looking for.

Just as it happens in life, isn't it? Unfortunate events occur, leading to positive outcomes. Misfortunes guide you towards a different path. 'Bad' things happen, you cry, you suffer, you feel the pain, and then those feelings and moments end.

New beginnings come. New opportunities arise. New people enter your life. A redirection of your path. A lesson learned. A change for the better. Embrace every twist and turn. Look for the blessings in disguise. As the Yogis would say: All is happening for your ultimate good.

If you have found value in the Daily Yogi emails, can you briefly share why?
