Leap Through the Door
Don't shy away from the doors just because the outcome is uncertain. Embrace the uncertainty! It's the fertile ground where dreams take root, where passions ignite, and where you discover strengths you never knew you possessed.
Leap Through the Door
Imagine standing in a vast hallway, sunlight streaming through expansive windows on one side. Each window offers a clear view, a glimpse of a familiar path, a predictable outcome. It's tempting, isn't it? To stick to the known, the safe.
A guest speaker on a podcast I was listening to recently threw a fascinating analogy: there are also doors lining the other side of the hallway. These doors hold a different kind of promise – mystery, a chance encounter, the unknown.
The speaker tells the story of someone who remained stagnant for a long time because they only approached life through the windows. They sought certainty, clarity of results, a roadmap with no detours. This approach kept them safe, yes, but also limited. It wasn't until they embraced the doors, the leaps of faith into the unexplored, that true growth began.
Life demands a balance between windows and doors. The windows offer comfort, a sense of control. You need them for calculated moves, for decisions with predictable outcomes. But it's the doors that hold the most exciting possibilities. Through them lie unexpected connections, thrilling challenges, and lessons learned the hard way – lessons that forge your character and shape who you become.
Don't shy away from the doors just because the outcome is uncertain. Embrace the uncertainty! It's the fertile ground where dreams take root, where passions ignite, and where you discover strengths you never knew you possessed. Sure, some doors will lead to dead ends, to experiences you wouldn't have chosen, to suffering and pain. But even those moments, those detours, will help you become the best version of yourself.
Remember, the most fulfilling lives are rarely linear. They're made of calculated risks and courageous leaps. So, keep an eye on the windows for clarity, but never underestimate the power of the doors. Embrace the unknown, take the leap, and allow life to surprise you.
