Protect Your Internal Battery

The Solar Plexus, aptly named for its sun-like ability to radiate energy throughout the body, is a crucial part of the nervous system. It’s a storehouse of prana, or life force, that fuels your physical and mental well-being.

As a kid, I was no stranger to the occasional punch or kick. Whether it was during a rowdy game of soccer or just horsing around with friends, I had my fair share of bruises. But there’s one particular hit that always stood out to me—the dreaded punch to the center of the stomach, just below the ribs.

I remember one of the first times it happened. We were playing a heated game of soccer between classes. I was a defender and occasionally used my body to try to stop shots. Suddenly, a ball came hurtling toward me at lightning speed. It slammed into my midsection, knocking the wind out of me.

I collapsed to the ground, gasping for air. It felt like someone had reached into my chest and yanked out all my energy. My classmates gathered around, concerned looks on their faces, as I struggled to catch my breath. In that moment, I felt completely helpless, and it took several minutes before I was able to recover.

As I grew older, I learned that this sensation wasn’t just about losing air from my lungs. There was something deeper at play. The Yogis, with their ancient wisdom, had long known about the importance of this area of our body—the Solar Plexus—a vital energy center that acts like a battery for our entire system.
