Steve Jobs, the man who revolutionized the world with his Apple products, had a unique perspective on technology. He believed that technology was an extension of the human body, a tool for our expression. And he hit the nail on the head with that one.
Thanks to the technological revolution that followed, we now have incredible tools to create even more astonishing things. We can express ourselves in ways that were unknown to man before. We can connect with people from all around the world in an instant, and we can make our lives simpler and more comfortable with the help of technology.
I am using all kinds of incredible tools and devices to write, record, edit and distribute this newsletter/podcast. I wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for the amazing tech behind it. I appreciate it. I love it. I find it very useful. I think our society is in a better place than decades ago thanks to all these diverse innovations.
But, we need to remember that technology is just a tool. It's meant to be used to solve problems. It’s meant to be used to make things easier. It’s meant to be used to express ourselves. It’s meant to be used to connect. We must keep investing in it so we can solve more problems and make the world a better place.
However, while technology is a wonderful thing, we must also remember that we need to invest the same amount of effort, if not more, in understanding human nature. We need to focus on the development of each individual soul on the planet. It's not enough to just continue developing technology without spending a single bit of energy on ourselves and understanding what life really is and why we're here.
Imagine getting to a place in time where the technology we have is supreme but our consciousness isn’t sufficiently elevated. We don’t want to live in a society like the ones portrayed in the popular Netflix show “Black Mirror”. Do we?
No matter how advanced AI or technology is, it will never have a soul. It will never posses as spirit. It is a tool. Incredibly smart and complex and wonderful, but nonetheless a tool.
And, the more we elevate our consciousness, the better technology we will invent. We will put it to use in more things that truly advance humankind forward.
We need to invest in ourselves and our understanding of life. We must focus our energy in promoting kindness, tolerance, respect, acceptance and the fact that we are all part of the same race working towards the same goal. Because when we do that, alongside technology, we can achieve so much more. We can create a world that's not just technologically advanced, but also spiritually and emotionally fulfilled. And that, my friends, is a world worth living in.
So, let's keep investing in technology, but let's not forget to invest in our development too. It's only when we have both that we can truly achieve greatness.
