The Magic of Music

The Texas sun set behind the Zilker Park skyline, it was a hot and humid evening. We had spent the day enjoying lively music, dancing, and feeling excited. But the night wasn't over. We moved through the crowd towards the main stage where Guns N’ Roses was going to perform.

Everyone was excited; I could feel it in the crowd. I was particularly excited for the November Rain solo. We had all heard it many times, but seeing it live under the open sky felt special. When the first notes played, it was more than just music.

I closed my eyes, and Slash's solo felt like a symphony. Each note echoed in my head, in my spine, in my skin. Intense goosebumps rushed down my entire body as I felt connected by the power of the music.

I realized this wasn't just about Slash's talent. It was something deeper, a connection to a force beyond the physical. The beauty and complexity of the solo showed the artist's spiritual side, a message from deep within.

All that inspiration coming to his hands, every stroke of the chords, that sweet melody, his art, the Yogis teach, comes from the artist's Spiritual Mind. That higher region of the mind, the messenger of the Absolute – a place where inspiration lives, away from everyday chaos.

Great musicians like Slash tap into this source, translating it into music. In those moments, they become messengers, sharing these higher vibrations with us. They produce sounds that make us feel intense feelings, that make us feel alive, that make us feel connected to everyone who’s also listening.

Seeing such artistry is a privilege. It’s a reminder of the creative spark within each of us. It's a call to find those moments of connection, through music, art, or any creative expression. These shared experiences under the open sky make life truly beautiful.
