A Healthy Dose of Fearlessness
You have all the time in the world to learn and grow, because the real you – not your body or mind – is ever-lasting. Fear becomes irrelevant because the essence of you simply can't die. And when fear becomes irrelevant, you live your life to the fullest.
The Stoics offer a stark but powerful reminder: you could be gone at any moment. This impermanence shouldn't be a source of dread, but a motivator. It compels you to seize the day, and truly live. As Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius phrased it, “you could leave life right now. Let that determine what you think, say and do.”
The Yogis take a different approach. They see death as a natural bend in the road, not the end. You are not dying. Your body is. They believe your core essence is eternal, experiencing countless lifetimes. But that doesn’t mean you should obsess over past or future lives. Just find peace in the present.
You have all the time in the world to learn and grow, because the real you – not your body or mind – is ever-lasting. Fear becomes irrelevant because the essence of you simply can't die. And when fear becomes irrelevant, you live your life to the fullest.
These seemingly contradictory philosophies both lead to a similar destination: peace. The Stoics encourage you to use your finite time wisely, while the Yogis remind you of your infinite potential.
Both approaches ignite a fire under you, urging you to make the most of every moment. They wash over you with a sense of calm, assuring you that what matters is the eternal now.
To focus on what’s in front of you. To be at peace with the impermanence of your body. To live a life filled with purpose, confidence, and a healthy dose of fearlessness.
