Choose to See Magic
Scattered across this vast world are countless souls who, like flickering candles in the dark, carry light instead of shadow.

The afternoon sun beat down on Sayulita's central plaza, where vendors displayed their handicrafts in a maze of colorful stalls. My wife and I were weaving through the crowd when he appeared, seemingly from nowhere, holding what looked like a simple wooden rattle. What struck me first wasn't the instrument, but his face. Serene and illuminated by a radiant smile that seemed to emanate peace from somewhere deep within.
The hollow instrument made a gentle, rhythmic sound as he shook it. Not the harsh clatter of a child's toy, but something more intentional, like rain on leaves. The rattle itself was a work of art, crafted from natural materials, with small beans dancing inside its wooden chamber. Before I could say anything, he began speaking about its meaning, his eyes alight with genuine enthusiasm.
"This," he said, holding the rattle reverently, "is more than just an instrument. It represents the universe." He gave it another gentle shake. "These beans inside represent the stars, moving through space, creating cosmic music with every motion." His words carried the weight of genuine wisdom.
As he spoke, his message deepened. The rattle, he explained, was a reminder of our place in the universe. And more importantly, our power within it. "Just as these beans move with intention when you shake the rattle," he said, "you have control over your experiences and thoughts. Your consciousness shapes your reality."
