My journey from Mexico to the United States was a test of belief, resilience, patience, and opportunity. It began with the goal of expanding my successful restaurant business from Mexico into a new and challenging market. The path was far from straightforward, filled with unexpected twists and turns that tested my resolve, tested the belief in myself and taught me invaluable lessons aligned with the wisdom of Karma Yoga.

🚶‍♂️The Yoga of Action
We all live a life of activity in the modern world. You have a family, friends, a neighborhood, you are part of a community. In the Western world, most of us, if not all of us, live a life of action. Karma Yoga concerns your daily life. It is the yoga of action.
Karma Yoga offers profound insights into the nature of action, consequence, and spiritual evolution, providing a comprehensive framework for understanding how our deeds shape our lives and spiritual journeys.
There’s a widespread misconception among Western civilization, which still holds the belief that Eastern teachings are impractical or irrelevant for those immersed in worldly pursuits, such as careers, family responsibilities, and social obligations.
However, this perception is far from the truth. In reality, Karma Yoga is a universal path that is accessible to all individuals, regardless of their circumstances, backgrounds, or daily engagements. It is a profound spiritual practice that emphasizes the importance of conscious action and intentionality in shaping your destiny. It is rooted in the understanding that every action you take, and even those you choose not to take, contribute to the circumstances of your life.
Essentially, you are what you are today because of the cumulative effect of your past actions and inactions. This concept extends beyond the current lifetime, encompassing actions from past lives as well as those from earlier stages of your present life.
The essence of Karma Yoga lies in its understanding of "karma," which comes from the Sanskrit word Kri, meaning "to do" or "to act." In its broader sense, karma refers to the effects of actions—the inevitable consequences that follow your thoughts, words, and deeds.

I first arrived in Kansas, where I had a distant uncle who offered a potential foothold. Unfortunately, my uncle turned out to be a terrible manager and a liar. The restaurants weren’t profitable, he stole the owner’s money, and delayed payroll payments for weeks, including mine.
