Everything is in vibration. All things around you, from the highest to the lowest, from the most solid to the most ethereal, from the tiniest to the biggest, from the grossest form of matter to the highest form of matter, all things vibrate at their own unique frequency.
Reflecting on this principle takes me back to my childhood road trips with my parents. I would look out the window most of the time, immersed in my thoughts, gazing into the horizon, observing the passing scenery of nature, buildings, people, and cars.
One thing that always fascinated me was how the wheels of cars, moving at a certain speed, appeared motionless, as if they were static and not spinning at all. They were moving so fast that my eyes perceived them as if they weren’t moving. As if they were frozen in time.
It was a perplexing and enchanting illusion, one that sparked my curiosity and made me keep looking out the window.
Besides being fascinated, I didn’t think too much of it. But I was looking at a profound revelation: things are not as solid as they seem. Just like the spinning wheel that appears motionless, everyday objects in our lives also give off the illusion of stillness.
The desk you sit at, the trees dancing in the wind, even the ground you stand on - all vibrate with energy, at frequencies too subtle for you to detect with your eyes alone.
And how can knowing this be practically applied to your life?
Well, it allows you to view the world in a fresh light and appreciate the vibrancy and vitality present in everything. Instead of seeing objects as lifeless, you see them as dynamic manifestations of that, of the Absolute.
This realization will bring you a deep sense of respect and interconnectedness. It will foster a greater harmony with everything that surrounds you. As the ancient Yogis put it, "Treat everything as if it were alive, for indeed it is. Love it as you love yourself, for in truth, it is an extension of your own being."
