Explore Your Inner Realm

Jesus was, in many ways, a great yogi master. It might sound surprising at first. After all, Jesus is traditionally seen through the lens of Christianity. But a yogi master is simply an advanced mind who is devoted to the spiritual, mental, and emotional development of humanity. By this definition, Jesus certainly fits the bill. One of the purest souls that has ever walked the Earth.

Jesus never called himself a yogi, nor did he label himself as a Christian. The term 'yogi' wasn’t known to him, and the label 'Christian' only emerged after his teachings were institutionalized into a religion. He was a profound, enlightened being whose teachings have transcended labels and boundaries.

Consider this passage from the Sermon on the Mount: “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?” These aren’t just words of comfort; they’re a direct challenge to our material-centric world.

They echo the yogi principle of detachment from possessions. They invite us to prioritize spiritual growth over material gain. He teaches us to work selflessly, without attachment to the fruits of our labor. To live in the present moment, without anxiety about the future. And to find joy in the journey, rather than the destination.

Jesus continues, "Consider the lilies of the field..." Here, he invites us to observe the natural world with a sense of wonder and trust. It’s as if he’s saying, "See how effortlessly the universe provides? Can’t you trust that it will provide for you too?"

When Jesus urges you to seek first the kingdom of God, he’s essentially pointing you towards inner exploration, towards discovering your true self. Isn’t this the ultimate goal of yoga – to know oneself and one’s place in the universe?

The more we delve into the teachings of Jesus, the clearer the parallels become. His emphasis on non-judgment, forgiveness, and service to others are fundamental yogi principles. He was, in essence, a master teacher, guiding his followers along the path of spiritual evolution.

His words, when viewed through the lens of the yogi philosophy, offer a profound and timeless message. A message that invites you to look beyond the surface and explore your inner realm. His words are a roadmap to a life of peace, purpose, and connection.
