Your Body Is Your Temple

You should always develop and strengthen your physical body to render it fit for your higher self and spirit to flourish.

The Yogis explain that the path that appeals the most to a person's temperament and disposition is the one best adapted to their use at the present time. They call it the path of attainment - the attainment of spiritual growth and self-realization through three paths leading up to the great main road. According to the yogi philosophy, humans can attain spiritual growth and self-realization in different parts, according to their personality and temperament. You can do it through mental development, action, or wisdom - collectively called the threefold path, the path of attainment.

You can select one of those paths, but the best thing to do is to have a combination of all three. Each branch is a path leading towards the same goal of development and growth. But regardless of the path you choose, you must develop and strengthen your physical body as a means to render it fit for your higher self. One should always take care of their physical health because the body is the instrument with which we navigate life.

You have probably taken health for granted when you are healthy, but when a relative, friend, or someone you love falls ill, you come to realize that your health is truly valuable. When we are not healthy, we realize that if our body is not functioning properly, it's challenging to concentrate on other areas and improve our lives. Therefore, irrespective of whatever path you choose to follow - be it mental development, wisdom, or through your actions - you should always develop and strengthen your physical body to render it fit for your higher self and spirit to flourish.
