Embrace It As It Comes
Embrace everything as it comes. Fight your daily battles with everything you’ve got. It doesn’t matter if you rejoice in happiness or suffer. Your only concern is to do the best you can.
In Part 1 of the Hindu classic, "The Bhagavad Gita," Krishna, who is the human incarnation of the Absolute, guides the prince Arjuna to enter a battle in which both sides have friends and relatives. Arjuna is troubled by this and doesn't want to fight, to harm anyone; he thinks it is pointless.
So, Krishna encourages him to fight, telling him:
"This Real Man that inhabits the body, O Arjuna, is invulnerable to harm, hurt, or death—therefore, why shouldn't you trouble yourself further about the matter? Instead, it is far more worthy of you to face your Duty in the matter, manfully and resolutely. The duty of a soldier is to fight—and fight well."
By the Real Man, Krishna refers to the Spirit within us, that drop from the vast ocean of consciousness. "The inner citadel," as Marcus Aurelius, the great Roman emperor referred to. That place within yourself where peace can always be found, even in the most adverse of circumstances.
Regardless of who you are or where you are from, you will face challenges. Events and people will cause you suffering. And you’ll be thrown into unexpected situations.
Just remember, you are where you are, because it's precisely what you need to experience to unfold and grow.
Krishna continued, “Be willing to accept whatever befalls you—be it pain or pleasure, loss or gain, victory or defeat; your only concern should be whether you have done your best."
Embrace everything as it comes. Fight your daily battles with everything you’ve got. It doesn’t matter if you rejoice in happiness or suffer. Your only concern is to do the best you can.

Most of us are somewhere in the middle. It’s hard. We have to keep reminding ourselves to play the game of life without getting too attached to things, people or outcomes.
