Will You Choose the Pursuit of Knowledge?
Ultimate reality, which is spirit, holds the key to comprehending every facet of existence. And spirit is found within all of us. Therefore, we must embark on a journey of self-discovery, because in knowing ourselves, we unlock the door to ultimate truth.

Once upon a time, a wealthy king passed away, leaving behind a remarkable inheritance for his beloved slave, Yusef. There was a condition attached to this request. Each of the ruler's sons was granted the privilege of choosing a single item of significant value from the remaining assets. This chosen item would be separated from the rest, destined to be theirs to cherish and possess for all eternity, along with all that came with it.
One by one, the sons made their selections, each opting for a valuable piece of property. The oldest son claimed the royal palace as his own, while the second son chose the famous hanging gardens. As for the third son, his eyes were drawn to the opulent throne adorned with priceless gemstones. Each son made their choice, yet they couldn't help but lament the fact that the majority of their father's wealth and possessions would ultimately fall into the hands of Yusef, the slave.
The youngest son patiently awaited his turn. When the moment arrived, and his older brothers had made their selections, he confidently declared, "I choose Yusef, the slave!" A chorus of wonder and admiration swept through the king’s entourage.
The young boy had displayed extraordinary mental cleverness and intelligence. His choice was the favored slave to whom the king had given the majority of his vast riches. As dictated by the will, with each chosen piece of property, all that came with it would be transferred as well. Therefore, the owner of the slave became the owner of the possessions that belonged to the slave.
By owning the slave, the boy became owner of everything except for the comparably insignificant items chosen by his brothers. He had wisely chosen the sole item that, when acquired, made him the owner of all the remaining valuable and enduring assets.
And so it is with the pursuit of knowledge about reality. Ultimate reality, which is spirit, holds the key to comprehending every facet of existence. And spirit is found within all of us. Therefore, we must embark on a journey of self-discovery, because in knowing ourselves, we unlock the door to ultimate truth.
The journey is long, arduous, and tedious. The path is riddled with obstacles, setbacks, and challenges that test our intellect.
