Get a Breath of Fresh Air
Fresh air, abundant in oxygen and prana, is essential. Prioritize proper ventilation and walking outdoors every day. You'll sleep better, have more vitality, more strength, and overall well-being.

Have you ever wondered why you need to sleep? It gives nature and your body a chance to repair the wear and tear of the day. To achieve this, fresh air, abundant in oxygen and prana, is essential.
Breathing properly, with deep lungfuls of air, is only part of the equation. Without fresh air, this practice becomes futile. And just as you need fresh air during sleep, you need it in every room you spend time during the day. It's common sense.
Our bodies exhale approximately eight gallons of carbon dioxide per hour. Imagine inhaling this toxic air in a poorly ventilated room. You'll start feeling groggy, lethargic, and weak. Proper ventilation is the key to avoiding these negative effects.
If you want to optimize your well-being, it's crucial to maintain pure and fresh air in your living space. If you live in a city apartment with limited windows, or if you don't have an air conditioning system that circulates air in and out, it becomes even more vital to open windows and let the air circulate.
Of course, if it's too hot or too cold outside, it's hard to keep your windows open. Your electric bill will skyrocket if you do so. Just make sure your AC unit has proper ventilation or open your windows for short periods of time.
And make a conscious effort to spend time outside every day. The fresh air is filled with life and vitality. Your body and mind will thank you for it.
In Hatha Yoga: The Yogi Philosophy of Physical Well-Being, Yogi Ramacharaka even encourages us to repeat these words while breathing fresh air outside:
“I am a child of nature—she gifts me this pure, good air to use, so I may grow strong, healthy, and remain so. I breathe in health, strength, and energy. I relish the sensation of the air upon me, feeling its beneficial effects. I am nature's child, basking in her gifts.”
Prioritize proper ventilation and walking outdoors every day. You'll sleep better, have more vitality, more strength, and overall well-being. Take a deep breath, step outside, and let nature work its magic on you.
