Let It Flow Through You

Find happiness in your work and through your work. The joy that comes from following your heart and doing things right.

“There’s a language that goes beyond words," the boy reflected. "I felt it with my sheep, and now I am practicing it with humans.” A language that everybody comprehends.

“It was the language of enthusiasm, of things done with love and will, in search of something desired or something believed.” Paulo Coelho wrote in his famous book, 'The Alchemist.' Where a young shepherd goes on a journey to experience the world and to fulfill his personal legend.

And this story goes in hand in hand with that wonderful passage the Yogis love from the book 'Light on the Path' by M.C. Collins:

“Kill out ambition, but work as those who are ambitious.”

Be the one who “works for work’s sake— in obedience to the desire to work— the craving to create— because you give full expression to the creative part of your nature,” as Yogi Ramacharaka advises. Don’t chase material possessions, chase experiences that light you up and make you grow.

Isn’t this how you should live your life? How we should all live our lives? Like the young boy being guided by his intuition, his inner compass. Why not let the creative impulse flow through you?

Let it guide you to do great things. Find happiness in your work and through your work. The joy that comes from following your heart and doing things right. Do it the best you know how, better than it has been done before, if possible. Do not get entangled by the daily struggles, see it all from above. You are where you need to be.

“Let the divine energy work through you, and express itself fully in your work.”

Yogi Ramacharaka
