Separate the ‘I’ from the ’Not I’
Imagine the mind as a tool at your disposal. It persistently presents thoughts and emotions, like sitting at a desk with a stack of index cards, each one holding a thought or idea or emotion or reaction. Select the ones that serve you. Discard the ones that don’t.
Find Joy in the Process
Shift your focus to the act of doing itself. Engage in your tasks with love and enthusiasm, whether it's your work, relationships, hobbies, or any activities really. Find joy in the process—the profound satisfaction that arises from dedicating yourself wholeheartedly to a task and executing it to the best of your ability.
Live with a Sense of Eternal Wonder
There is going to be pain and struggle in life. There are going to be obligations. That's the way it is. But if you shift your perspective, you can appreciate what you have around, embrace everything life is trying to teach you and live with a sense of wonder.
Invest in Understanding Yourself
The Yogis teach that in order for humankind to fully advance to the next stages, collectively, we have to unfold, and develop and learn lessons and improve and raise our consciousness. We have to make a conscious effort to invest in the understanding of ourselves, just as we invest in new technologies.

No matter what you are going through, find a sense of humor in your daily life. Laugh at your mistakes, chuckle at your own struggles, and find amusement in the little things that go wrong. With humor, you'll make life's challenges seem a little bit less serious and your path a little more enjoyable.
